    In Vysočina, agricultural production is the most traditional and typical activity. Of the Region’s total area, agricultural land constitutes over 60 %, i.e., the highest of all Czech regions.

    Vysočina‘s agricultural production comprises 11 % of the country’s total agricultural production.

    Most of the Region has moderately warm climate with an average annual temperature of 6–8 ºC and precipitation of approx. 600 mm p.a. Of the Region’s total area, mere 15 % is not in the category of less favorable conditions and environmental limitations. This corresponds to Vysočina’s dominant position in potato production.
